This weekend, members of the department, along with Sturbridge Firefighters, participated in rapid intervention training at the Worcester and Auburn burn facilities. Rapid intervention is the name for a group of firefighters that is specially trained to rescue another firefighter, should they become lost, trapped, or disorientated within a fire building. This training was made possible by an Assistance to Firefighters Grant from the federal government. We would like to thank the lead instructor, Steve Lemieux and the Auburn Firefighters that assisted him with this important training. More pictures of this training are in the picture gallery.
